    The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued a statement on Friday on the abolition of orders to appoint a number of employees in the province of Basra, while pointing to the existence of "confusion" led to an "administrative error", vowed to hold accountable.
    The ministry said in a statement received by Al-Mada, a copy of it, that "what was raised by the recent pressure on the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to appoint a number of employees within degrees of movement of owners of the University of Basra and transfer them to a university faculties of Baghdad."
    The ministry confirmed "the cancellation of the appointment orders in this file and the conversion of grades to the university institutions created in Basra."
    The ministry pointed out that it "reveals with confidence the occurrence of confusion led to this administrative error, which will be held accountable according to legal contexts."
