Iranian commander reveals new details of the downing of the Israeli plane
Iran's air defense chief, Brigadier Farzad Ismaili, announced new details that were not mentioned in connection with the shooting down of an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft in Iran three years ago.
In an interview, the Iranian Brigadier said Iranian air defense allowed the Israeli spy plane "Hermes" to enter Iran's airspace and set up a channel for crossing between civilian planes and then targeted by the Revolutionary Guards with a missile.
He added that this radar-hidden aircraft, with its very low radar cross-section, entered the country's airspace from a civilian aircraft route and that for its intended targeting, the pilots of the civil aircraft did not feel the "Hermes" missile because of its high professionalism in tracking and targeting.
"After the plane was shot down, the Israelis denied it at first, but they admitted that it was theirs after we disclosed information about it . "
