A former prisoner involved in a terrorist attack has been granted a high-level job in the country, a British newspaper reported on Tuesday.
The former Ethiopian model, 33-year-old Molombit Guerma, who was jailed for her involvement in a terrorist attack on London Metro, was executed by her brother-in-law Hussein Osman on July 21, 2005, The Sun reported. A senior member of the Southwark-Borough Council in south London. "
The newspaper said that "a simple search in (Google) would disclose the details of the conviction (Guerma) under the Terrorism Act, as its name is listed in the Wikipedia (Wikipedia), in search of details of the terrorist act.
However, the former prisoner began to work as an apprentice after she was released from prison and then graduated, so she was chosen to promote a new work plan. Her image was the cover of the Southwark Council Bulletin.
For his part, the council announced the dismissal of "Guerma" when the background appeared, and open an investigation into how to get the job.
"The person concerned is no longer working for the Southwark Council," said Southwark Council President Eleanor Kelly. "As soon as its background appeared, we took immediate action and stopped it."
The official pointed out that "Germa did not reveal to the Council about the crime committed by her and not to enter the prison," asserting that "during the period of work has never entered the database of the police."
"We have reviewed its entire activity during the period of its work in the board, including the examination of its computer, and no violations were detected," he said, adding that "we have also made a strong review of our operations and procedures in the light of this incident."
A British court sentenced the Ethiopian model, "Molombit Guerma", and her brother Asayas to 10 years in prison for concealing information about an attempt to detonate bags of explosives on three underground trains in 2005. 25 /
