Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Saturday called on the countries of the region to re-formulate political relations between them to reduce the page of differences and wars.
"A project and an Iraqi vision for the future of the region is based on development and security rather than differences and wars," he said in a statement.
Abadi said that "conflicts in the region did not and will not bring to our peoples but destruction and underdevelopment, and caused a massive drain of human and natural energies and loss of opportunities for development and progress." He said that "extinguishing these destructive conflicts and bloodshed and stopping the intervention policies to fuel conflicts is the correct rule and the only alternative to the launching of the era New cooperation and construction ".
"It is wrong for the countries of the region to view their interests in isolation from the interests of others, and our vision is to work together to build our interests and economies in an integrative manner without being isolated from one another," he said.
He pointed to the need to "seek to establish lasting, deep and deep relations between our peoples and to focus on the relationship between governments because the relationship between peoples ensures the stability of relations in the face of political transformations."
Abadi stressed that "a great glimmer of hope must be given to the youth and not to be left to the terror and the deviant and alienated mind that exploits their energies in a negative direction and moves them from the trenches to the trench of killing and destruction."
"The agreement on a comprehensive development program and the optimal utilization of energies is the right alternative under fair policies based on citizenship, equality of rights and duties without discrimination, as well as development projects at national levels," Abbadi said.
He stressed the need to "work and coordinate the advancement of the region as a whole where security, peace and well-being in the region can not be achieved if the gap between rich and poor peoples remains large."
He pointed out that "the preoccupation of the countries of the region to conflicts among themselves and not to invest resources optimally marginalized its role locally and globally," adding that "we believe that we must work seriously that the countries of our region voice and influential in decision-making at all levels of global and local to become The world is safer and more just. "
