[ltr]A source close to the organizers of the Conference of the Peoples of Syria said that the conference to be held next month will bring together representatives of all opposition parties in the country.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The conference is scheduled to be held in mid-November, and the invitation will be extended to representatives of all opposition movements, religious communities and Syrian sheikhs," Interfax news agency quoted the source as saying.[/ltr]
[ltr]He added that the call would also include representatives of the factions "working in the field," noting that the forum expected "details are still not fully identified, and has not yet been distributed invitations."[/ltr]
[ltr]According to organizers, the forum will focus on discussing the country's constitution.[/ltr]
[ltr]To dispel concerns that the conference could be a substitute for the Geneva negotiations, the source said: "Geneva is a key course, and the rest of the efforts come in support of this process."[/ltr]
[ltr]This, and the supreme body of the Syrian opposition negotiations, has announced, last Monday, its refusal to participate in the conference is expected to be held at the base of Hameimim Russian Lattakia province.[/ltr]
