    The ministry said in a statement on Sunday that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Minerals administrative Mackie wondrous Dairi arrived in Iran on the head of a delegation from the ministry commissioned by the Council of Ministers to negotiate and sign a memorandum of understanding between the two countries and activating the prospects of joint industrial cooperation."

    He added that he "was received Dairi and the delegation accompanying him, by both the Iraqi ambassador to Iran Mohammad Majid Sheikh and a number of other senior government officials Iranians, including Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense of Iran's affairs Electronics Hussein Baker and Deputy Minister of Development and metallurgical industries Shafi and Vice Chairman of the Development Committee of the economic relations in the Iranian presidency Shariati. "

    The statement pointed out that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry reviewed during the meeting, the reality of the Iraqi industry and its role in the rehabilitation and development laboratories and capacity development of its employees through negotiation and signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries and benefit from the Iranian side in this area and develop the capacity of its staff through training courses and the transfer of expertise" .

    And the Dairi that "guidance ministry for activating and enhancing the prospects of industrial cooperation and economic cooperation between Iraq, Iran and the memorandum of understanding will be the basis for future cooperation common in various industrial fields, as well as the transfer of modern technology and the exchange of experiences between the two countries so as to enhance its role in the development of industries in various sectors, according to the statement.

    For his part, Iraqi Ambassador Mohammed Al-Sheikh said, "This step is important to sign a memorandum of understanding between the two countries and provide all the facilities for the companies and the Ministry of Industry and that Iraq has all the possibilities Kalmward economic and human resources for the advancement of the Iraqi economy and developed in cooperation with friendly countries to serve the interests of both countries."
