BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Iran's trade with Iraq is equivalent to its exchange with three continents: Europe, America and Africa, the secretary-general of the Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce Hamid Hosseini said on Monday.
Al-Husseini said during the monthly meeting of the joint chamber of commerce between Iran and Iraq that "the Kurdistan region alone constitutes 25 to 30 percent of Iranian trade, and Iraq alone for Iran is equivalent to the markets of three continents are Europe, America and Africa, while the Kurdistan region market for Iran is 2 to $ 2.5 billion equivalent to the market of one continent. "
He added that "Iraq agreed to establish the fourth meeting of the Joint Commission of Traders between Iran and Iraq during the month of February next," explaining that "holding this meeting would help to resolve some of the problems facing Iran's trade with Iraq."
