Parliamentary services call on the government to modernize its economic plans in line with population growth

    Economy News Baghdad:
The Parliamentary Services Committee on Tuesday called on the central government to modernize its economic and service plans in line with the population growth witnessed by Iraq.
The Ministry of Planning announced last Sunday, the population of the country to about 40 million people by the end of 2017 growth rate of one million people annually.
The head of the Parliamentary Services Committee, Nazem Saadi, told the "Economy News" that the indicators of population growth calls on the government to impose economic and service plans that keep pace with the size of the housing increase to ensure equitable distribution of services to all components of the people.
Iraq is suffering from a severe shortage of services as a result of the financial crisis that hit the country in 2014 because of the entry of an encouraging organization and low oil prices in the global market.
Al-Saadi pointed out that the economic plans must be drawn in light of the economic potential currently available, which reduces the burden on citizens, calling for the need to "not to adopt the figures of previous plans."
