    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari met with, Brett McGurk, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq accompanied by Mr. Robert Stephen Beecroft, the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq.

    “During the meeting,the Minister reviewed the political and regional situation, the results of his recent visit to Ankara, the consultation and discussion of the issues of common concern, in the forefront of them the Syrian crisis and the ongoing consultations on the convening of the Geneva II Conference, in order to work hard for finding a political and peaceful solution for this crisis and its impact on the neighboring countries,” the statement added.

    The two sides also discussed Prime Minister’s visit program to the United States, a number of other issues to be included in the visit, in addition to the political and economic cooperation,” the statement concluded.
