The Vice President of the Republic Nuri al-Maliki, on Friday, the need to end outstanding problems between Baghdad and Erbil, calling for securing the salaries of employees of the region under the Constitution.

The statement quoted al-Maliki as stressing "the importance of ending the outstanding problems between the federal government and the region under the Constitution and secure the salaries of employees of the Kurdistan region," calling for "to overcome the state of tension so as to avoid the Iraqi people in all its components any danger or threat." 

Maliki stressed in accordance with the statement on "the need not to pay the Iraqi citizen the price of political differences." 

For his part, the delegation expressed "gratitude for the positions of Vice President of the Republic in support of ending the suffering of the Kurdish people," stressing "the need to consolidate the principles of real partnership in the center of political decision and find radical solutions to all problems through discussions and serious dialogues between the region and the center according to the Constitution," according to the statement.

The PUK bloc said Friday that the Kurdish delegation that visited Baghdad recently does not represent the provincial government, pointing out the unwillingness of the federal government to start a serious and serious dialogue with the provincial government, indicating that Prime Minister Haider al-Abbadi sets conditions "not suitable as a first step" To start a dialogue between the parties. 

The Kurdish delegation, which arrived on Wednesday (January 3, 2018), to Baghdad for talks with government officials, met yesterday with Prime Minister Haidar
