Jordanian company completes strategic submersible pumps project in Iraq

[rtl]Amman/ NINA / The Jordanian Arab Water Technology Company announced the completion of a strategic project in designing, manufacturing, installing and operating submersible and floating pumps on Tharthar Lake, and handing it over to the Ministry of Water Resources.
The project manager, Eng. Taher Al-Atoum, said: "The company designed, implemented, installed and operated the system for the project, which is unique and is being accomplished for the first time in Iraq."
He added in a press statement: "The submersible pumps will pump a capacity of 12 million cubic meters of water per day, in addition to lifting 8 meters vertically for a distance of 30 km from the lake to the point of confluence with the Euphrates River to help overcome the expected water shortage during the summer," indicating: "The resort to this unique mechanism included in the project, its applications and design, was due to the low geographical nature of Tharthar Lake and the seasonal change in its water level and the expectation of floods, which makes it difficult to install fixed pumps." / End [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
