    The security agreement signed between Baghdad and Washington obliges the American side to protect Iraqi airspace from any violation of Iraqi sovereignty, especially since America has been a stumbling block to Iraq’s move towards purchasing advanced air defense systems and arming the army with the latest weapons capable of deterring any external aggression that the country may be exposed to.

    The threats of the Zionist entity to bomb Iraqi territory were not born of the moment, but rather the events that the region is experiencing are going through a series of developments, the latest of which is the usurping entity filing a complaint against Iraq with the Security Council, with the aim of granting itself legitimacy to target Iraqi territory and bring the country into the war that it is waging against some countries in the region.
    Independent politician Abbas Al-Maliki told Al-Maalouma, "The Zionist entity does not need a legitimate legal cover from the Security Council to attack other countries, as it violated Lebanese and Iranian sovereignty and committed massacres in Gaza and carried out assassinations, as happened in the murder of the head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh. That is, Israel does not respect international legitimacy. It is surprising that this entity resorted to the Security Council to file a complaint against Iraq, while it does not respect international norms and laws, and did not submit to the Security Council and continues its violations against various peoples." He indicated that "Israel is waging an expansionist war against other countries, not only against Palestine and Lebanon, but it also strikes Syria almost daily without a legitimate cover and without any justification. This indicates that there is a Zionist plan to expand into the surrounding countries, in line with what Greater Israel says, and therefore it wants to target Iraq as part of an expansionist Israeli plan, and send a signal to the international community that it is oppressed and wants to defend itself." 

     
    On the other hand, the leader of the Coordination Framework, Abdul Rahman Al-Jazaery, confirmed to /Al-Maalouma/, that "the Iraqi citizen wants to end the American occupation, and America will never be a friend of Iraq while it is working to destroy Islamic peoples and violate the sovereignty of countries. There is an agreement between the Zionist entity and America and their interests are shared and they will not stop infiltration and violations," pointing to "the danger of the American-Zionist threat to Iraqi national security in light of Iraq not possessing the appropriate weapons to protect its airspace."
    In a related context, security expert Haitham Al-Khazaali said in his statement to Al-Maalouma that “the measures and decisions taken by the emergency security meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, headed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, are precautionary measures and precautions for any violations that the Zionist entity may commit against Iraq, as the decisions taken by the meeting directly held the United States of America fully responsible for any violation of Iraqi airspace by the Zionist entity, and this is what the federal government spoke about directly with the Americans.”

     
    The Arab Parliament condemned, on Wednesday evening, the threats of the Zionist entity to strike Iraq, stressing its full support for the country's sovereignty, security and stability and non-interference in its internal affairs under any pretext, denouncing the occupation entity's filing of a complaint to the UN Security Council, noting that "the occupying entity should first abide by the resolutions of the UN Security Council and the resolutions of the UN General Assembly to immediately stop the massacres and genocide it has been carrying out in the occupied State of Palestine for more than a year, and to stop its brutal aggression against the Republic of Lebanon."
