The Russian news website Sputnik reported today, Wednesday, November 20, 2024, that the United States of America has sent new military reinforcements from its bases in Iraq to its bases in eastern Syria.
The website quoted its correspondent in eastern Syria as saying that the US military had established an air bridge over the past two days from its bases in Iraq to its bases located around and within the oil and gas fields in eastern Syria.
The correspondent confirmed, based on local sources living in the villages adjacent to the base, that an American cargo plane landed today, Wednesday, at the “Former Minister of Irrigation Rest House” base, near the western Hasakah Dam (20 km northwest of Hasakah city), loaded with military and logistical supplies.
The sources confirmed that the landing of the American cargo plane coincided with major military exercises conducted by the American forces at the "Minister Rest House" base. The exercises included the use of artillery, warplanes and anti-aircraft weapons, amid a state of heightened security alert around the base, with a state of fear and panic among civilians.
The US military, which leads the "International Coalition," continues to send military reinforcements to northern and eastern Syria by land and air to strengthen its bases in the region, in light of the escalating attacks on these bases.
