    [rtl]The Federal Economy and Investment Committee confirmed on Thursday that the federal government will rely on the local product of flour and sugar to cover the ration card items in 2018, noting that the two items of edible oil rice will continue to be imported from abroad.[/rtl]
    [rtl]Committee member Najeeb Najib said that "2018 will be better than 2017 in terms of processing ration items for citizens," indicating that "the reason is the high price of a barrel of Iraqi oil to 60 dollars and the price of Brent to 67 dollars."[/rtl]
    [rtl]Najib said that "the federal government is still importing oil and rice to Iraq."[/rtl]
    [rtl]He pointed out that "is in the contract with the local oil plants located in the southern provinces to provide ration in edible oil."[/rtl]
    [rtl]She pointed out that "the government will adopt within the new plan the processing of sugar and flour from the local market instead of importing and contracting with foreign companies."[/rtl]
    [rtl]The Ministry of Finance, recently, that the budget next year 2018 secured the salaries of state employees and social protection and retirees and ration card and meet the requirements of security, defense and health.[/rtl]
    [rtl]The ministry's inspector-general, Maher al-Bayati, said in a statement that "the ministry has taken upon itself to provide the amounts allocated as salaries to employees, retirees and employees of state institutions in addition to the salaries of social protection and the requirements of security, defense and health."[/rtl]
