The House of Representatives voted on Monday to decide on May 12, 2018, the date for the parliamentary elections, while the government committed a number of decisions.
"The House of Representatives approved the decision to set 12 May 2018 as the date for holding parliamentary elections," a parliamentary source told Al-Maaloumah.
"The council urged the government to provide a safe environment for holding elections, returning displaced persons, relying on electronic voting in all areas and arming the state during the period of election propaganda to the official security institutions, the defense and the interior, and ensuring that parties with armed wings do not participate," the source added.
The House of Representatives also committed the government, according to the source "to increase the preparation of local and international observers and the provision of ballot boxes for the displaced." Ending / 25 g
