A new complaint between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon has come to light on the backdrop of the Lebanese judiciary's approval to consider a complaint filed against Saudi Arabian Minister of State for Arab Gulf Affairs Thamir al-Sbahan on charges of "provoking strife among the Lebanese and inviting them to fight and disrupt Lebanon's relations with a foreign country."

According to the National Information Agency of Lebanon, the complaint was filed by former detainee in Israeli prisons Nabih Awada.

The case was filed on January 31, and the first investigating judge in Beirut, Ghassan Uweidat, decided to accept it and soon set a date for questioning the Saudi minister.

Awadah, in his complaint, was based on previous tweets of al-Sabhan, which he said paved the way for what happened with Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri in the Saudi capital Riyadh and "oblige him to resign."

Awadah said in the lawsuit that he presented to the judiciary that the slogans of Sabhan affect the sovereignty of Lebanon and incite sectarian strife.

Al-Sibhan said last October that Saudi Arabia would deal with the government of Lebanon as a "declaration of war government" because of Hezbollah's aggression against the kingdom.

His remarks came hours after Saudi Arabia accused Hezbollah of smuggling arms from Lebanon through Syria and Iran to the Houthis in Yemen.

The lawsuit against Minister Al-Subhan angered the Saudis, who launched a campaign on Twitter under the name of "All of Us", in which other Gulf countries also interacted.
