An Israeli government committee discussed the wording of the amendments to the "Silencing the Athan" Law, which granted the Israeli police powers to break into mosques and confiscate loudspeakers in the event that the adhaan was raised or loudspeakers were used from the night until the early morning hours.

The government committee, which included the Minister of Internal Security, Gilad Erdan, and the so-called "Jerusalem Affairs Minister" Zeev Elkin, discussed the "silence of the adhaan" law, which was approved by the Israeli Knesset in March. Including the granting of additional powers to the police to storm and raided mosques and the confiscation of loudspeakers, according to the site Arab 48 on Israeli affairs.

The recommendations of the Ministerial Committee will be discussed and approved by the Constitution Committee. The bill will then be submitted to the Knesset for a first reading. In addition to the powers that will be given to the police to storm the mosques, those who violate the law will be fined.

The draft law submitted by Knesset Member Mouti Yogev of the Jewish House block forbids the use of loudspeakers or loudspeakers by loudspeakers between 11 pm and 7 am, while MK Robert Eltov's bill 'Yisrael Beitenu' is forbidden to raise the adha completely and prevent the use of loudspeakers mosques.
