[ltr]A US official said the US embassy in Jerusalem is expected to open in May.[/ltr]
[ltr]The official, who did not give his name, told Reuters news agency on Friday.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, Israeli Minister of Communications and Intelligence Yisrael Katz congratulated on his Twitter account US President Donald Trump on his decision to transfer the embassy to Jerusalem on Israel's 70th anniversary, May 14.[/ltr]
[ltr]Katz expressed gratitude to the US administration, saying that this "fair and correct" step would be the best gift for Israelis on this occasion.[/ltr]
