Justice recommends a refund of 51 billion dinars
04/4/2018 12:00 am [rtl] BAGHDAD / Al-Sabah: The Office of the Inspector-General of the Ministry of Justice recommended the return of 51 billion dinars to the state treasury, at the time revealed the retrieval of 502 million dinars, and the referral of more than 113 employees to the judiciary and integrity. "The Office recently issued its annual report of the most important activities of 2017, and included its efforts in retrieving and recommending the recovery of funds and referrals to the Integrity and Judicial Commission, and other activities related to the work of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, The Office of the Supervision of the Justice Chambers ». He added that «the number of investigative committees completed during 2017 reached (601) committees, with a large growth rate reached to "The number of referrals in the Commission of Integrity and the judiciary during the same year reached (113) employees, the total penalties recommended by the investigative committees (154), and the number of investigative committees that were closed because of (216) committees, and (233) of the circulars of previous years, as this achievement came despite the limited human potential, and reduced financial allocations to the Office ». He pointed out that «the total refunds to the state treasury amounted to (502 million and 845 thousand and 966 dinars), and the amounts recommended to recover amounted to (51 billion and 831 million and 34 thousand and 275 dinars), of which a total of (28 billion and 94 million 34 thousand and 275 dinars) (511 million dinars) for revoking false restrictions on the properties of citizens. The inspector general said according to the statement that «the number of complaints and intelligence received by the Office amounted to (594), completed (477), which is still in progress (117) complaints, while all the complaints and intelligence from previous years and by 100% Will be greatly reduced through automating the procedures of real estate registration departments, as these departments still use the paper style in their daily dealings, which opens the door for counterfeiters to manipulate official records and documents. "The number of inspection visits amounted to (129) visits, a growth rate of (207%), as well as (47) audit visits, including the audit (9) and follow-up (93) reports of the Office of Financial Supervision. He pointed out that «the windows of communication with citizens and employees have been expanded to include the public social media and interact with them on a daily basis to receive complaints or observations on the work of some of the judicial services and seek to resolve them as soon as possible. He pointed out that «the Office of the Inspector General, for the first time since its inception in 2004 activity evaluation performance», explaining that «this activity stands on many facts that show the success or failure of the institution».
