Iraq sets June 14 deadline for KOT refinery project proposals
A statement by the Iraqi Oil Ministry said on Wednesday that investors interested in competition for the project to build a refinery capacity of 100 thousand barrels per day in Kut until June 14 to bid.
The refinery is located south of Baghdad and is one of several crude processing projects being put forward by Iraq as part of a plan to achieve self-sufficiency in oil products.
Iraq is the second largest producer of crude oil in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries after Saudi Arabia.
