    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Mahdi al-Alaq, on Wednesday, with the French Ambassador in Baghdad Borno Obeyer, the implementation of investment and economic projects adopted by the French government implementation in Iraq. 
    The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, in a statement received by "Economy News", that "the Secretary-General of the Council, Mahdi Alalak, discussed with the French Ambassador in Baghdad Borno Obeyer, and the head of the economic section of the embassy, ​​Rafael Santos and his aide, the implementation of investment and economic projects adopted by the French government in Iraq". 
    "The government has provided great facilities to attract investments into the country," he said, referring to continued understandings that would organize the results and international commitments announced at the Kuwait conference. 
    He pointed out that "the role of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers in the adoption of secure communication with relevant government agencies and French companies."
    The two sides discussed the proposed roadmap for investment projects, which will contribute to securing vital projects and investments in the oil, electricity and information technology sectors, establishing airports, rebuilding cultural and cultural monuments and building the Mosul mosque. 
    The statement added that the projects discussed were related to water management and irrigation in a number of governorates, mainly Mosul, Basra, Karbala, Diwaniyah, Baghdad and Kurdistan. 
    The French ambassador, Borno, said that "the government of his country held periodic meetings in Paris with organizations and companies that are interested in construction projects and reconstruction in Iraq," pointing out that "next August will see an expanded meeting to measure the level of progress and response to this aspect."
