    He called on the government and parliament to "expedite the development of an urgent and secure plan for the construction of dams and water reservoirs on the Tigris and Euphrates to avoid future threats." 

    A member of the Committee on Agriculture and Water and Marshlands parliamentary Aboud al-Issawi, on Sunday, called for the water file to be "hands" Prime Minister Haider Abadi , while attributed the reason that the file "a sovereign problem."

    MP Raad al-Dahlaki on Sunday called for the internationalization of the issue of cutting water from Iraq, while warning against the "explosion" of the people over the wrong policies taken by the government.
