called First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hassan al - Kaabi, on Thursday, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health to speed up the completion of a proposed draft amendment to the medical hierarchy Act No. 6 of 2000.
Kaabi said during a meeting with representatives of the protesters from the graduates of the faculties of science in all their terms of reference here today Thursday, September 5, 2019, "The law of medical professionals is the guarantor to indicate the specialty of each profession and the need for it, whether in health institutions or other departments and the private sector, which is also in need of many technical and professional disciplines."
Al-Kaabi instructed his office to form a joint committee comprising experts and consultants of the concerned committees to follow up this law and work on preparing recommendations including the observations of the beneficiaries, including the graduates from the faculties of science.
He called the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health and Environment to "expedite its completion and refer it to the House of Representatives to indicate their observations on it and make appropriate adjustments to it in case of need, and certainly will be determined by the medical specialties or not."
