The wealth of individuals grew last year to $ 202 trillion, the strongest growth in five years thanks to the rise of markets and the decline of the dollar against most major currencies.
A study by the Boston Consulting Group said that individual wealth increased in 2017 by 12 percent, while global wealth grew by 7 percent, with exchange rate fluctuations.
The study found that the wealthiest people in North America held the largest share of personal wealth, accounting for about 43%, where most of the largest wealthiers reside in the United States, China and Japan.
The study also noted Switzerland as the world's largest foreign wealth management center with $ 2.3 trillion, followed by Hong Kong with $ 1.1 trillion and Singapore with $ 0.9 trillion.
The study showed an optimistic outlook for the coming years, saying that over the next five years, wealth growth is likely to continue at an annual rate of about 5%.
