An economic study by the Boston Consulting Group showed growth in individual wealth in 2017 to exceed $ 200 trillion, marking the strongest growth in the last five years.
According to the study, the total wealth of individuals during the last year amounted to 202 trillion dollars, the strongest growth in 5 years thanks to the rise of markets, and the decline of the dollar against most major currencies.
The study showed that the wealth of individuals increased in 2017 by 12%, while global wealth grew by 7%, in light of fluctuations in exchange rates.
It showed that the wealthiest people in North America held the largest share of personal wealth, accounting for about 43%, where most of the largest wealthiers reside in the United States, China and Japan.
The study also noted Switzerland as the world's largest foreign wealth management center with $ 2.3 trillion, followed by Hong Kong with $ 1.1 trillion and Singapore with $ 0.9 trillion.
The study revealed an optimistic outlook for the coming years, saying that over the next five years, wealth growth is likely to continue at an annual rate of about 5%. Finished
