(International: Al Furat News) US Ambassador to the United Nations Nicky Healy announced the withdrawal of the United States from the International Human Rights Council.
Haley said the Human Rights Council had a long-standing bias against Israel, Reuters said.
Hely told the council publicly last year that Washington might withdraw from him unless "chronic bias against Israel" stops.
There is a consistent item on the Council's agenda, which was established in 2006 on alleged violations by Israel in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, an item that Washington wants to delete.
The United States says the council is full of opponents of Israel and boycotted three years under former President George W. Bush before returning to it during Barack Obama's 2009 presidency.
The 47-member council last month supported the opening of an investigation into deaths in Gaza and accused Israel Using excessive force, the United States and Australia are the only two countries that voted "None".
Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Aviva Raz Sheikter, criticized the council for "spreading lies against Israel," she said.
