The dollar was steady on Wednesday after hitting a 11-month high in the last session, but fears of a trade dispute between the United States and China have kept the state of concern as it is.

The dollar was "breathless" and currency markets breathed a sigh of relief after Beijing indicated its satisfaction with the strength of the yuan when it set the daily midday at a higher level than the market expectations. The dollar steadied against a basket of major currencies to hit a record of 95.13, Slightly lower than the 95.30 level recorded during the previous session, the highest since mid-July 2017.

The euro fell 0.15% to $ 1.1574, remaining undervalued after falling to a two-week low as European Central Bank President Mario Draghi called for "patience" in European monetary policy.
