Netanyahu is furious that his wife was accused of stealing $ 99,000 in meals

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described his wife's accusation of fraud and dishonesty for ordering $ 99,000 at the taxpayer's expense as "ridiculous".
"This week was a record of absurdity. For the first time in history, the wife of a senior official was accused of meals, some of which were given to official guests and even heads of state," Netanyahu said in a videotaped video broadcast on social networking sites.
The Israeli public prosecutor, announced on Thursday, the charge of fraud and dishonesty to Sarah Netanyahu , after a long investigation conducted by the police in this regard.
The Israeli Justice Ministry said that "the prosecution in Jerusalem filed an indictment against Netanyahu's wife because of her personal benefits."
According to the indictment, between 2010 and 2013, Sara Netanyahu and a government employee received hundreds of meals from restaurants worth NIS 359,000 (about $ 99,000) by circumventing regulations prohibiting that if there was a chef at home.
If Netanyahu's wife is found guilty, she may be sentenced to up to five years' imprisonment, but the date for her trial is still unclear.
