The Basra Investment Commission issued on Monday a clarification on the statement of a deputy on the granting of investment licenses to Iraqi contractors for desalination plants in the province.
The Authority said in a statement received by Ashqaf News, "reference to the statement of the official of the movement of honest in Basra, MP Uday Awad on the granting of investment licenses to Iraqi contractors for desalination plants in the projects Jubaila, Rabat and Bardaia, the Commission wishes to clarify that the stations referred to in the statement of MP did not grant investment licenses according to The Iraqi Investment Law No. 13 of 2006 amended and does not have any information about the Commission, while there are only 4 investment licenses granted to investors on the territory of the same investors in previous years.
The statement added that "Zaqoura water desalination plant was granted investment license in 2010 in the district of Abu al-Khasib, and the Budaiya plant for the production of healthy water granted investment leave in 2011 in the industrial area in Hamdan, and the plains plant for the production of water and juices granted investment leave in 2011 in the Shatt And the Al Kawthar plant for the production of healthy water and juices granted investment licenses in the year 2017 in the Qibla area.
He continued that "the above projects are held in accordance with the Iraqi investment law it is the cost borne by the same investor does not provide the government facilities other than legal facilities provided for in the Iraqi investment law."
