The Turkish ambassador to Baghdad Fatih Yildiz said on Saturday that he visited the Prime Minister tasked with forming a new Iraqi government, Adel Abdul Mahdi.
Yildiz said he made clear to Abdul Mahdi the determination of Turkey to make progress in all areas with Iraq.
The Turkish ambassador quoted Abdul-Mahdi as saying that "Iraq and Turkey are waiting for a good future."
The new President Barham Saleh had assigned Adel Abdul Mahdi in the formation of the new federal government as a candidate for settlement between the parties and political blocs winning in the elections, which failed to announce the largest bloc after the legislative elections in May.
