The Committee for the Amendment of the Rules of Procedure of the House of Representatives elects a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman and a Rapporteur

Baghdad / ... The committee to amend the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives elected on Wednesday, MP Sabah al-Saadi as its president, while elected Repoar Taha as Vice President, and Rep. Thamer Zibian as Rapporteur of the Committee.
" The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan al-Kaabi chaired today a meeting of the committee to amend the rules of procedure for the election of a chairman of the committee, a deputy and a rapporteur, " said a statement by the House of Representatives .
He pointed out that " at the beginning of the meeting held in the Constitutional Hall of the Council building, the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed the importance of speeding up the resolution of the amendment of the rules of procedure of the Council, noting that the Legal Committee submitted a request to participate in meetings of amendments to the rules of procedure.
Al-Kaabi called for holding a joint meeting between the legal committee and the committee to amend the rules of procedure to prepare ideas and benefit from their legal expertise, pointing out that the opinion of the legal committee will be only advisory.
"The members of the committee unanimously elected MP Sabah al-Saadi as president while Rep. Rifawar Taha was elected as deputy chairman of the committee by secret ballot after obtaining 11 votes in exchange for the candidate obtaining 3 votes out of 15 votes.
