    Today, Tuesday, the advisor to the Iraqi Private Banks Association, Samir Al-Nusairi, called on the government to enable the private sector to contribute to providing job opportunities for the unemployed.
    Al-Nusairi said, in an interview with "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Article 25 of the Iraqi Constitution confirms the necessity for the government to support and develop the private sector, especially in the directions that highlight its essential and important role in development, provide job opportunities for the unemployed, and assist the government in the field of appointments that exceeded its capabilities, especially after adding a large number during 2023 and 2024."
    He added, "The private sector must be provided with the necessary and real support from the government to help it perform its role in providing job opportunities," stressing "the necessity for the banking sector to play a major role in financing small, medium and large projects owned by the private sector, and involving it in making important central economic decisions."
    The advisor to the Private Banks Association explained that “the participation of the private sector in the central committees linked to the presidency of the Council of Ministers, especially the Ministerial Council for the Economy and the Economic and Financial Reform Cell, is necessary by adding the private sector through its representatives in these central committees and participating in important decisions for the economy in a way that supports sustainable development.”
    Al-Nusairi said: “When the private sector has this level of government support and adopts projects of various sizes, it can provide job opportunities for graduates and the unemployed in all specializations.”
