Member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, Alaa Al-Haidari, accused the regional government on Tuesday of not complying with the Paris Court’s decision to stop oil exports through the Turkish Ceyhan port.
Al-Haidari told Al-Maalouma Agency, "The smuggling of the region's oil has negatively affected Iraq's exports," calling on the government to "take immediate action to stop oil smuggling operations inside the Kurdistan Region."
He added, "The Ministry of Wealth in the region did not abide by the decision of the Paris International Court, and therefore there are oil smuggling operations."
Al-Haidari pointed out that "the continuation of smuggling operations negatively affects Iraqi national exports." End/25H
