    Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) -The Iraqi Cabinet clarified the reason behind commissioning the Minister of Justice to negotiate and sign the agreement of exchanging prisoners between Iraq and Britain.
    A statement by the Iraqi Cabinet cited “The Council of Ministers decided during regular session of last Tuesday to authorize the justice Minister to negotiate and sign the agreement of exchanging prisoners between Iraq and the United Kingdom according to provisions of article 80/ 6th section of the Iraqi Constitution.”
    Informed source at the CoM reported that “The approval to conclude this agreement indicates the Iraqi Government’s keenness to consolidate the bilateral relations between both countries.”
    The source stressed that “The agreement will be put into effect after passage of 30 days from date of exchanging the official diplomatic memorandums related to this agreement.”
