The railway starts daily flights between Baghdad and Basra

The Iraqi State Railways Company announced on Saturday that it would resume its daily flights through its modern DMU trains, which will take off from Baghdad to Basra through the southern regions of Nasiriyah, Samawah, Diwaniyah and Hilla.
The director general of the company, Salam Jabr Saloum, said in a statement read by "Economy News" that the direct comes after the completion of the wedding of the pilgrims of Imam Hussein (p), explaining that "the first train leaves the central Baghdad station at (7:00) Basra train station at (4:10) in the morning, while the second train from Baghdad at 8:00 pm to arrive at the Basra train station at (5:10) am. "
He added that "there are two flights starting from the Basra train station, the first at 7:30 pm to reach the central Baghdad station at (4:40) in the morning, while the second flight will be departure at (9:00) (5:50) in the morning. "
The price of tickets for the first class seat is 30,000 dinars for one bed, and the second is for the price of 25,000 dinars for the bed, and the price for the tourist seat ticket is 12,000,000 dinars. 8,000 dinars) ".
