Trump in the first comment after the closure of some institutions of government: I hope not to lengthen

- US President Donald Trump expressed his hope that the partial closure of some government institutions would not continue for a long time and called on Democrats to agree to finance the border wall with Mexico.
In a video posted on Twitter, Trump stressed the importance of building the wall to ensure US security and prevent crime from crossing the border.
"We will have a closure (for federal government institutions) there is nothing we can do about it, because we need the Democrats to give us their votes," he said, blaming the opposition Democratic Party.
Trump's comments came after the Senate on Wednesday postponed a short-term spending bill because of a row with the White House over the Mexican border wall, blocking the federal budget ceiling and closing dozens of federal administrations from midnight on Saturday.
