Israel is preparing to make a formal request to more than seven Arab countries, in addition to Iran, to compensate more than 856 thousand Jews who abandoned or left these countries by force and left property worth 250 billion US dollars, according to the content of the report broadcast by the second news channel on Israeli television.

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin first raised the question of the Jewish diaspora from the Islamic countries in November 2014 in a speech entitled "Bring us money from Jews" delivered on the occasion of the first anniversary of the expulsion of Jews from the Islamic countries after the establishment of the State of Israel.

Large numbers of Arab Jews and others from Muslim countries such as Iran were expelled and abandoned or left this country of their own accord after the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.

Israel is seeking $ 35 billion from Tunisia and another $ 15 billion from Libya. Other Arab countries include Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, Syria and Yemen, as well as Iran.

"The time has come to correct the historic injustice inflicted on Jews in seven Arab countries and Iran and to work for the return of the property of hundreds of thousands of Jews in these countries, which is their legitimate right," said Gila Gameliel, the minister of social justice.

An organization called "Justice for Jews from Arab States" raised the issue in a statement issued in 2012 from Jerusalem at the end of the conference "Justice for Jewish refugees from Arab countries" and estimated the number of Jews who left the Arab countries between 1947 and 1972 by nearly 900 thousand Jews.

The organization named the names of ten Muslim countries, including the "Jewish refugees", the same countries announced by the Ministry of Social Justice of Israel plus Lebanon and Algeria.

The organization called on the Jews involved in this case to document their accounts and submit statements related to their property to the Ministry of Israeli retirees within the framework of a project supervised by this ministry, on the decision of the parliament, to raise the issue in international forums.

In 2010, the Israeli Knesset passed a law obliging Israeli governments to include the "compensation of Jewish property" in any peace negotiations with the Arab countries. However, serious work on valuing and searching for Jewish property began only 18 months ago, This property is abandoned based on current market value and current prices. The Israeli authorities have used the services of an international accounting office to assess the value of these properties and assets.

Israel's announcement of compensation for Jewish property comes as US President Donald Trump's administration prepares to unveil its proposed plan for a comprehensive, just and final peace between Israel and the Palestinians. "We can not talk about the Middle East without taking into account the rights of Jews forced by force and violence to leave their property," she said.

Israel and the international Zionist movement have always worked to transfer thousands of Arab Jews from their countries to the State of Israel in mass operations in which the number of people transferred to tens of thousands of people, as happened in the case of the Jews of Yemen and Iraq. Almost 100,000 Yemenis were transported in two air operations, called the "Wind Mat" and "Magic Carpet". Some 113,000 Iraqi Jews were also transferred to the Alibaba operation.

However, Israeli claims will once again bring to the table the file of the "right of return" of the Palestinian refugees as well as compensation for their property, which they have been forced to abandon and the lands they have been displaced in historic Palestine. The Palestinian Authority had submitted a memorandum to the American administration nearly 10 years ago asking for $ 100 billion in compensation from the State of Israel for compensation for the property of the Palestinians who left it in what is today the Land of Israel.

But Israel does not recognize the Palestinian "right of return" and believes that the millions of Palestinians scattered around the world now do not qualify as "refugees" and that the real number of refugees is estimated at only tens of thousands of Palestinians who left their homes after the outbreak of the 1948 war and that this name does not apply to their children Or their grandchildren.

Israel has long argued that the return of these Palestinians will end the existence of the State of Israel as a national homeland for the Jews in the world, but the Jewish state does not oppose the fact that these refugees are citizens of any future Palestinian state after final status talks.
