    (Reuters) - The deputy governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, Gamal Najem, has estimated the Arab countries' losses as a result of conflicts at 800 billion dollars, according to international reports.

    Najem said during his speech to the Arab Banking Conference in Beirut, Lebanon, that this figure includes economic and human losses of material and social.

    Foreign currency reserves fell to $ 49 billion in 2017 from $ 80 billion in 2013.

    Unemployment and poverty rose by 25% and 30% respectively in 2017 compared to 12% and 19%, respectively, before the start of the war against an oppressive organization.

    As well as losses of infrastructure estimated at 350 billion dollars as a result of the destruction of about 80% of them, and the decline of electricity capacity in Baghdad for about 8 hours a day.

    Foreign currency reserves in Syria fell to $ 700 million in 2017 from $ 20 billion before the Syrian crisis, and the cumulative deficit of GDP reached $ 226 billion.

    Unemployment and poverty rose to 78% and 60% respectively, electricity generation decreased by 62.5%, and the country suffered $ 248 million in health sector losses and $ 123 million in education.

    For its part, the foreign currency reserves in Yemen declined to 600 million dollars in May 2016 from 5 billion dollars in early 2014, and estimated the losses of the agricultural sector as a result of the war of the Arab alliance led by Saudi Arabia on Yemen more than 16 billion dollars.

    In turn, Libya's foreign exchange reserves fell to about $ 70 billion in 2016 from $ 124 billion in 2012, damage to privately owned buildings was about $ 1.4 billion, and government buildings were about $ 1.03 billion.

    While the lost losses resulting from the closure of oil ports about 70 billion dollars from April 2013 to 2015, and estimated reconstruction costs about 400 billion dollars.

    Conflicts in those countries led to an annual GDP decline of 1.9 percent in the Middle East and North Africa.
