    The Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi on Thursday efforts to approve the general budget of the Iraqi state, pledging that the government headed by will examine the amendments and additions made by parliament on the budget.

    "The government is working on finalizing a number of final accounts for the past years in implementation of its ministerial platform, which was based on the confidence of the people's representatives," Abdul Mahdi said.

    "We hope that this great achievement will be complemented by the other achievement represented by the agreement of the political forces to complete the ministerial reshuffle so that the government can start at full capacity to serve the aspirations and interests of the people."
