Hakim: Iraq has no intention of entering Syria

Foreign Minister Mohammed Ali al-Hakim said on Wednesday that Iraq does not intend to enter Syria to conduct military operations, pointing to the existence of limited operations on the Iraqi-Syrian border.
"Iraq does not intend to enter Syrian territory (for military operations)," Hakim told a joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow.
"There are limited operations on the Iraqi-Syrian border," Hakim said, stressing "the need to coordinate with Syria to fight terrorism." Ending / 25
