    The Ministerial Energy Council held a meeting this morning under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi, to discuss the government's project to reform and develop the electricity sector. 
    The Prime Minister directed the ministries and concerned parties to continue to give the file of electric power of utmost importance and to carry out exceptional procedures in order to ensure the stability of electric power and to improve production and distribution and to provide the necessary energy sources for the work of plants and generators. 
    The Council discussed the preparations of the Ministry of Electricity for the summer and the maintenance position of production stations and the dismantling of bottlenecks and partnership contracts for the distribution sector, in addition to the offers of the German company Siemens including the processing and implementation of power stations. The Council also reviewed the position of operation of public and private generators and issued a number of decisions and directions towards the implementation of quick solutions and other strategic To improve electricity status and sustainably.
