Iraq announces its non-participation in the Bahrain conference

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that it was not participating in the economic workshop called the "Deal of the Century" on the Palestinian territories, which the US administration called for to organize in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] .
"We are not interested in this conference and we will not participate in it," foreign ministry spokesman Ahmed al-Sahaf told Anatolia.
He added that " [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] adheres to its steadfast and principled stance towards the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people."
An economic workshop is scheduled to be held in Manama, Bahrain on June 25 and 26, which the United States has called for to discuss the economic aspects of the "century deal", according to a US media report.
A White House official said Tuesday that Egypt, Jordan and Morocco had informed us that they would attend the workshop.
The workshop was officially rejected by the Palestinian leadership and the Palestinian national and Islamic factions, where the deal is said to force the Palestinians to make major concessions to Israel.Finished 25 s
