Four police officers were shot and wounded in Nice Town Tioga, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US media reported Wednesday night.
The injured were rushed to hospital to receive necessary medical aid, the media said.
Police said the shooter was still active at the scene.
According to CBS 3, police were first called to the scene “for drugs,” according to Philadelphia police captain Seiko Kinbro.
The sources told the American channel, that the chaos spread throughout the place as officers were shooting.
Police in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, rallied in a firing zone, police said on their Twitter account, asking the public to avoid approaching them.
Police also asked media helicopters to "withdraw" from the area
