Iraqi authorities destroy tons of tomatoes and Iranian apples

Seven border freezers carrying tomatoes and Iranian apples, banned from importing, have been seized at the al-Shayeb border outlet, the border outlets said on Friday.
"Due to the tightening of supervision and scrutiny, seven refrigerators were found carrying vegetables and after checking and inspecting materials were banned from importation (Tomato and Iranian apples) in very large quantities," the authority said in a statement.
The statement added that legal procedures were taken against her and destroyed in the presence of an expanded committee of all departments working in the port.
