Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed al-Haj Hammoud called for a political solution and a move away from the emotional aspect of the border demarcation between Iraq and Kuwait.
He said in a press statement, "There is the importance of completing the steps of the implementation of the port of Faw large because of its economic importance as it represents the parallel artery of the Iraqi economy after oil, but represents a real alternative to oil that better deal with this issue to be the beginning of the rail linkage in the event of implementation of the port He added that Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi had recently ordered to wait for the rail link with neighboring countries.
