[size=36]China warns of "destructive forces" exploiting trade dispute with America[/size]
warned Chinese Ambassador to the United States, Wednesday, from the "forces" said it was seeking to drive a wedge between the United States and his country, stressing that they are trying to resolve their differences on trade.
Chinese Ambassador to Washington Cui Tiankai said at a dinner hosted by the US-China Trade Council that Beijing and Washington were trying to resolve their trade disputes, but he cautioned against the forces trying to sideline them, without giving further details.
Tiankai pointed out that US-China relations are at a critical crossroads due to trade differences between the two countries, but pointed out that it is possible to return to a better track.
He added: "At the same time, we must beware that some of the 'destructive forces that exploit the current trade dispute through the use of extremist rhetoric', according to the agency" Reuters ".
Tiankai urged US and Chinese companies eager to expand trade between the two countries to stand up against what he described as efforts to "spread enmity and create conflict between us" as well as spread "false news" about the situation in Hong Kong and Xinjiang.
His remarks came a day after US President Donald Trump said a long-awaited interim trade deal with China could be delayed until after the US presidential election in November 2020, amid moves in the US Congress to address the Ivorian minority issue.
