The assistant of the Governor of Basra, Arabs Al-Jazaery, affirmed today, Friday, the intensification of [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/134853/%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%87%D9%88%D8%AF %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A6%D9%8A%D8%A9][size=13]environmental efforts[/url] to protect the marshes of the province.
The Algerian said in a statement, "The Committee for the Management of Natural Reserves in the Marshes of Basra, issued recommendations aimed at intensifying efforts to protect natural reserves in the province."
He pointed out that "the recommendations and directives aim to intensify efforts to protect the eastern donkey in Hamar, north of Basra, as well as to improve its environmental status to conserve biological diversity."
And among the Algerian, "These reserves have become one of the sites listed since 2016 on the World Heritage List by UNESCO."
