The deputy of the Sadikoun Parliamentary Bloc, Muhammad Karim al-Baldawi, affirmed on Tuesday that the two social meetings held at the home of the President of the Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, and that of Nuri al-Maliki, head of the State of Law Coalition, were to bridge the rift between Shiite political forces.
Al-Baldawi said in a statement to “Al-Maalouma”, that “the two social meetings held recently in my home by Al-Hakim and Al-Maliki were absent from him by some Shiite political forces due to differences during the nomination phase of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi.”
He added that "the socialists focused on the attempt of political forces to bridge the rift between the Shiite forces and then agree on a specific figure to walk the affairs of the state for the transitional period until early elections."
Al-Baldawi said, “The two meetings also discussed the names proposed for the purpose of pushing them to the presidency to assign them to form a government, but they did not reach an agreement, leaving the vote on a personality in the presence of all Shiite forces under one roof.” Ended in / 25 pm
