Today, Sunday, Minister of Trade Muhammad Hashem Al-Ani submitted a proposal to equip the social protection network with an additional share outside the distribution of the ration.
Al-Ani suggested in a statement received by “Yassin Iraq” that “the social protection network be provided with an additional share outside the scope of the allocated ration distribution (free of charge) within the framework of the Corona pandemic response measures.”
He added, "The proposal came" in view of the imminent coming of the holy month of Ramadan, the current circumstance the country is going through and the presence of abusive families who are covered by the social protection network and according to the data available at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs from those covered by the ration card items and based on the tasks assigned to this ministry to secure the ration card items According to the provisions of the Ministry Law No. (37) for the year 2011 and in view of the human condition that this segment of citizens go through, which requires concerted efforts to serve the sons of our dear country.
He continued, “The Ministry has previously provided families with (12) lots of flour based on the directives of the former Prime Minister notified according to the Prime Minister’s Office Book Number No. 19/7937 of 2018.”
He demanded that "the proposal be presented in one of the cabinet sessions in an urgent manner to issue a decision by the council to do so to serve this segment of the citizens."
