Baghdad - Mawazine News, the
head of the Civil Path Party, MP Muthanna Abdul Samad Al-Samarrai, called on Friday for the government to open an urgent investigation into the heinous terrorist crime that rocked Salah al-Din Governorate.
In a statement received by Mawazine News, Al-Samarrai expressed his "shock at the state of neglect, the deterioration of the security situation, the weak response of the security forces towards the serious challenges facing many areas in the governorate, and the failure to take measures to protect the people from the brutality of terrorism."
Al-Samarrai said, "The terrorist incident is evidence of the failure of the security plans," noting that "the continuing negligence of the authorities responsible for the security of these areas and their indifference to such crimes makes them a partner in the continuing bloodshed of our sons, and necessitates their accountability."
He called on the government to "urgently investigate the causes of this crime and punish negligent ones," stressing that "the parliament has a great responsibility to hold the government accountable if it fails to take the necessary measures to protect the security of citizens."
He emphasized that "the governorate’s representatives and the local government will not stand idly by towards this neglect," calling on the state to "protect the governorate's areas or arm their people to confront the terrorist organizations themselves and prevent its blind knife from continuing to slaughter the necks of innocent people."
He stressed, "the need to conduct a quick and serious review of security procedures and plans and allow the people of the province to be an integral part of the security equation, whether by opening the door to volunteering for them or by training and arming a select group of them and ensuring constant communication with them to prevent the recurrence of these shameless crimes." "
And we mourned the death of al - Samarrai, the seven martyrs who are "four brothers and their sister and their mother in addition to one wounded receiving treatment in the hospital and they are :
